  1. What is Link Diary?
    Link Diary is an automated link exchange program comprising of both reciprocal and three way link exchange campaigns. Just browse through our member directory and select sites to exchange links with.

  2. What are benefits of Link Trading?
    Link Trading brings in more of the targeted / relevant traffic to the websites, plus increase the websites' rankings at search engines, as the search engines tend to give more weight to the backlinks coming from relevant theme websites rather than the links that do not match the topic of your website. Link trading is also beneficial to enhance the PR (Page Rank) of a website.
  3. What is a Three Way link exchange?
    Three Way link exchange lets you receive links from a website while you give back link from another website. To do three way link exchanges, you must have 2 websites registered in your three way link exchange campaign. For example, you have 2 websites – A & B and you are doing three way link trading with Website C. Then you will receive a link from Website C for Website A. And you will give back a link to Website C from Website B.
  4. What should I know to use Link Diary?
    You should be able to understand the HTML of a website plus have the knowledge of FTP software to use Link Diary. If you do not know about these, then contact the webmaster or the person who maintains your website.
  5. Do I have to trade links with all members of Link Diary?
    It is entirely up to you to select the websites with whom you want to trade links with. You can simply reject the websites with you do not want to exchange links from your control panel. You can also set link exchange permissions for specific category of websites so that others cannot contact you for link trading.
  6. What are sponsored listings?
    Sponsored Listings are paid members who are randomly placed over the directory pages so their website is more visible to other members searching for link exchange partners.
  7. What are the limitations of Free Account?
    There is a limitation of sending 10 requests per day while you are using a free link diary account. Though there is no limit to respond to the requests of other websites.

  8. What are the benefits of Full membership / Paid account?
    Full membership lets you send unlimited link exchange requests in a day.

  9.  How many domains can I manage with one account?
    You can register as many websites as you like with one Link Diary account. That is you don’t have to register again to add more sites. You can manage all websites with the same login.

  10. Why can't I see the newly registered site under "My sites"?
    As per our procedure, we manually approve any new site which is added to the Link Diary database. This usually takes 2-3 business days for any site to be approved.

  11. What does the term "Link out Domain" mean?
    Link out Domain/URL is the url on which, you add the links of your selected link partners.

  12. How can I send requests to other Link Diary sites?
    1)You have to first select a particular site from "My Sites", for which you want to Exchange Links.
    2)Now from the "Site Manager", select the link "Find Link Exchange partners".
    3)You will be in the Link Exchange Categories now, to select a particular category.

  13. What are Link Exchange Permissions?
    You can set Permissions for individual categories and sub-categories from which you don't want to receive any requests for Link Exchange. If no Permissions are set, then a member from any category will be able to send you a link request.

  14. Can I change the category in which I have registered my site?
    You can contact Link Diary support at support@linkdiary.com or can fill up the Contact us from.

  15. How can I change my account details?
    Your account details such as Name and Password can be changed by selecting the "My Profile" link.

  16. How can I register a site in the three-way campaign?
    In the Add Sites page, you have to select the radio button named "Three-way" under the option Link Exchange Campaign.

  17. How will I get to know where my link has been placed by the other website?
    Once you login into your account, select a website that is registered with Link Diary. To view the links placed by the other website and pending on your side, click on “Waiting for my approval”. On that page, you can see the list of websites who have sent you link exchange requests and the URL on which they have placed link to your website in the “status” column.
    To view history of link exchanges of your website, click on “Completed Link Exchanges”. On that page, you can see the list of websites with which you have successfully completed link exchange in the past.

  18. What are E-mail alerts and how can I turn them off?
    Use the option of E-mail alerts from the account services section of your website control panel at Link Diary if you do not wish to receive any E-mail alerts when a new link exchange request arises in your account. By default, E-mail alerts are set to “ON” state.

  19. How can I remove link exchange requests from “waiting for my approval”?
    If you do not wish to trade links with any of the website in the “waiting for my approval” section, just click on “reject” button placed in the status column of each website. If you do not accept or reject the link exchange, the request will expire in 30 days.
